Agent spend-limit planner

Turn a monthly budget and an expected call rate into the per-call, per-session and daily caps to set on an agent wallet.

The most the agent may spend in a month, in USD.

Single payments at or above this amount wait for human approval. The plan lowers it to fit the per-call and session caps.

How we calculated this

Expected monthly spend multiplies calls per day by 30 and the average call price, then adds your buffer for retries and price drift.

The daily cap is the budget split across 31 days and rounded down, so even a 31-day month cannot pass the budget. The monthly cap equals the budget. The session cap is a quarter of that, so no single session can take the whole day.

The approval level is your threshold, lowered to the per-call and session caps, because a payment above those caps is refused and never reaches a person. The per-call cap is three times the average call price, enough for most real calls while blocking runaway prices. If your plan needs more than the budget allows, the headroom figure goes negative.

This is a planning aid, not financial advice. Check the caps and approval settings in the vendor's docs for the wallet you choose.

Questions

Which cap should I set first?
Set the monthly and daily caps and the approval level first. They bound the worst day and put a person in the loop for large single payments.
What about per-agent caps?
If you run several agents, give each its own wallet and budget so one agent cannot consume the whole pool.
